Karachi: Strategy to conduct balloting of DHA City plots finalised

KARACHI: A meeting chaired by DHA Administrator Brig Khalid Tirmizi was held at Defence Housing Authority’s Main Office to finalise the strategy for conducting balloting of plots for DHA City, which is the DHA’s mega project being built as a model residential and commercial estate on the Super Highway.

A DHA announcement on Friday said that the public’s response to DHA’s project has been overwhelming. It added that the meeting decided that the balloting for the allotment of the plots would be held on October 29 at 10:00 am at Defence Authority Country and Golf Club, DHA Phase-VIII. All applicants for the project would be invited to witness the balloting proceedings.

However, the entries would only be allowed after the individuals show the original balloting application receipts and their original NICs. In addition the media will also be invited to cover the event.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements for holding a transparent, error free and smooth ballot, while also maintaining credibility, reputation and the name of the organisation. The MIS Director informed the meeting that a highly credible, reliable and modern software with no possibility of any human manipulation has been developed for the ballot.

The software envisages random fast speed generation of globally universal ID numbers which would be matched with the applicants’ plot data in the computer to initialise a successful applicants’ list. The results would be displayed on the monitor rapidly and would be projected on big screens. The results of the ballot would be posted on DHA’s website http://www.dhakarachi.org. The results would also be displayed on the notice boards at DHA’s Main Office and branches of respective commercial banks.

The DHA City informed the meeting that the work of demarcation of the area and erection of pillars at the DHA City site were in progress and would be completed within the next two months. He said that an information centre and a field office will start working from October 30, on the enterance of DHA City. Direction signs and large billboards were also being placed on Super Highway to guide the public to the project’s site. app

DHA City balloting on 29th

The Defence Housing Authority Karachi has announced that the balloting for allotment of residential and commercial plots of the DHA City project would be held on October 29, 2009 at 10 am at Defence Authority Country and Golf Club, DHA Phase-VIII.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting on Friday, which was chaired by DHA Administrator Brig. Khalid Tirmizi.

All applicants for the project would be invited to witness the balloting proceedings. However entry would be allowed on showing the original copy of balloting application’s receipt and copy of individual’s NIC.

The meeting reviewed arrangements for holding transparent and smooth balloting of plots. The meeting was told that an highly credible, reliable and modern software with no possibility of any human manipulation had been developed for the balloting.
