CDA to launch metro bus service in collaboration with PMBA

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with Punjab Metro Bus Authority (PMBA) will launch metro bus service between twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

CDA officials said work is underway to evolve strategy to provide better transport facilities to the citizens of twin cities. Consultation process is continuing on fast paced basis with PMBA to initiate metro bus service project.

Due to lack of public bus service the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have to undergo a perpetual agony as they are left at the mercy of wagon drivers and particularly female commuters have to face stressful hour while traveling in wagons as they have to receive volley of derogatory remarks flung by the drivers daily on their way from home to office and back.

“ Metro bus service is the need of hour as we have run out of patience to become more target of uncivilized and unethical attitude of drivers of wagons plying on the route from Rawalpindi to Islamabad, said a group of working women.
