Shahbaz briefed about Aashiyana
LAHORE : Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting here on Saturday in which Director General Lahore Development Authority gave a detailed briefing on Aashiyana Iqbal Project.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that Aashiyana Housing Scheme is a revolutionary step towards provision of shelter to the low income segments of society. He said that Aashiyana schemes have realized the dream of common man to have his own house. He said that Aashiyana Housing Scheme is a glorious project for meeting shortage of houses in big cities of the province. The Chief Minister directed that work should immediately be started for the construction of units on the remaining land in Aashiyana Quaid. He said that Aashiyana Iqbal will be constructed under public private partnership. The Chief Minister directed immediate construction of approach road of Aashiyana Iqbal and said that prompt measures be adopted for capacity building of Punjab Land Development Company. The chief minister also presided over a meeting in which Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) gave a detailed briefing on Aashiyana Iqbal Project.
