Aashiana Housing: CM gives green light for low-cost housing

LAHORE:
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday approved the Aashiana Housing Scheme. He was presiding over a meeting in this regard.
Sharif said hundreds of thousands of people would be provided with affordable housing under the project. He said the scheme would have all kinds of basic amenities including a school, a college and a hospital.
The chief minister said the project was the most important welfare initiative in the history of the nation.
He said the best sites had been chosen for the scheme to ensure that the residents could live in a befitting manner.
The chief minister said the government had taken the initiative to enable people from the low-income strata realise their dream of possessing a house of their own.
