RCB Accelerates Operation against Illegal Constructions

Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued warning notice to almost 20 property owners located within its jurisdiction for illegal construction.

RCB officials have conducted several raids to inspect illegal constructions and issued notices to owners of buildings. The staff conducted raids in several areas across Rawalpindi such as Peshawar Road, Tench Bhatta, Afshan Colony, Habib Colony, Masrial Road, Gulshan Iqbal Colony, Allama Iqbal Colony and Pirwadahi.

During the inspection, the property owners were served with notices as the team took strict action in accordance with the law against illegal constructions in Cantt areas. The operation will be continued as higher officials have directed the team to accelerate the operation.

Concrete steps are being taken in this regard and the revenue generation will also be increased considerably. Moreover, citizens are asked to submit proposals to get formal prior construction approval.
