Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisamul in doubles final in ATP World Challenger Championship
LAHORE: Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi made his mark in Belgrade, Serbia by reaching the doubles final of the $125,000 ATP World Challenger Championship on Friday. According to a spokesman for Aisam, the Pakistani prodigy, pairing with Lovro Zovko of Croatia, outplayed Alessadro Motti of Italy and Florin Mergea of Romania in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 and Bosnia-Serbia pair of Iliga Vucic and Mirza Basic after a thrilling match with a score of 7-6 (13), 6-3 to qualify for the final. “It is good to reach the finals of a big event and I am confident that we will be able to win the title,” said Aisam in his post match comments.
