Islamabad: Construction work on 11th Avenue in June

Construction work on third signal- free avenue in the Federal Capital would start in June, an official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) said here on Friday. The Authority has already hired a consultant to design 11th Avenue that would be subject to approval by CDA Board and would also be vetted by an independent architect. CDA has approved Rs320 million for the construction of first phase of the Avenue.The Avenue would start from IJ Principal Road and end at Khyaban-e-Iqbal, the official said, adding that CDA would construct the new avenue from Khyaban-e-Iqbal to Kashmir Highway in the first phase. “The authority has approved PC-1 of the project and would soon start its construction work after completion of other necessary requirements,” he added.
