Imran Khan and Mumtaz Bhutto join hands
By Razzak Abro
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Sindh National Front (SNF) chief Mumtaz Bhutto have developed a consensus over various political issues and are likely to approach other likeminded politicians for a joint cause. Addressing a joint press conference on Monday at Bhutto’s residence when Khan was invited by the SNF chief for lunch, both leaders stated that they had similar ideological occurrence and would practice joint politics on various issues. “We will stick to our ideological principles. We will contact other likeminded friends for joint politics as well,” said Khan. He also demanded that an All Parties Conference should be called to discuss the prevailing situation of the country. Criticising politics without principles in the country, he said, “It is in fact a fraud. The term ‘nothing is final in politics’ was actually introduced in the country after former military dictator, General Ziaul Haq’s regime.” Responding to a question Bhutto said that he intended to follow the murder case of Benazir Bhutto in capacity of chief of Bhutto tribe and a family member of Benazir and because her party (PPP) is silent and has adopted a comprising policy on the issue. Bhutto went on to say that he had political and not personal differences with Benazir, adding that he feared that Benazir’s case would meet the same fate of Murtaza Bhutto’s murder case. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...009_pg12_2 |
