Rawalpindi: 24 mega projects approved
Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) on Thursday approved 24 mega projects amounting to Rs193.7 million for the development of Rawalpindi Division.
The development projects approved on the special directives of Punajb Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, including 13 of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), three of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa), one each of Provincial ADP and Buildings departments while work will be started on three projects of PHED. The meeting of DDWP chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain ® Zahid Saeed here Thursday. An amount of Rs7.43 million were approved for construction of Circular Road to Banni Chowk, Rs4.87 million for improvement of Astabal Road and Rs28.94 million for carpeting of road from Leh Bridge to Ratta Amral Choongi, Rs6 million from Railway Carriage Factory to Amral Chungi, Rs8.93 million for carpeting of road from Fawara Chowk to Novelty Cinema, Rs6.72 million for re-modelling of Ganjmandi Chowk, Rs21.69 million for pavement of Hamilton road, Rs23.34 million for carpeting of Jamia Masjid Road from Bani Chowk to Dingi Khooi, Rs24 million for carpeting of Bokra Road, Pirwadhai colony, Rs14.44 million for TB Hospital Road, Rs23.78 million for carpeting of Saidpur road from Asghar Mall to Siddiqui Chowk, Rs6.89 million for Fish Market, Ganjmandi Road. Under Provincial Building Scheme, Rs13.50 million will be spent for installation of sui gas heating system in Chief Secretary (Camp Office). Under Wasa scheme, Rs1.85 million were approved for sanitation work in Khurram Colony, Rs2 million for drainage of four streets in Mohanpura, Rs9 million for development work in Bangash Colony, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rs7 million for Sewerage of Shah Khalid Colony, Rs1.74 million for Sewerage of Gulistan Colony, Rs13.50 million for water supply scheme in PP-19 and Rs13.13 million for different development projects of Qadria Colony, British Homes, Qasimabad, Naseerabad, Alahabad, Habib Colony. http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=208256 |
