Municipal Committee Approved Reconstruction of Three Roads in Lakki Marwat

The municipal committee ordered to blacktop and widen three main roads in Lakki Marwat, which were cleared from encroachments recently.

An official said that the local government and rural development department had been requested to release funds for blacktopping and widening of Kargil Chowk to Girls’ College road, Eidgah road and Lorry Adda to Saeedkhel road in the city.

These roads were cleared from encroachments during last three months and the committee had also retrieved property of local council from land grabbers in the city. After removal of illegal encroachments, the residents of urban locality had requested the deputy commissioner Syed Zafar Ali Shah to widen roads to protect them later in future from encroachment.

The official further told that PC-1 of the project had already been prepared and forwarded to the concerned department for approval. Meanwhile, the KPK Highway Authority and the forest department have provided an excavator and a tractor to the municipal committee to remove garbage lying on the city roads.
