1.3 percent fall in future open interest

KARACHI (October 19 2009): The future open interest declined by 1.3 percent to Rs 661 million. The future spreads stood at negative 4.2 percent. Trading at the futures counter declined marginally by 0.2 percent and the volume stood at 1.92 million shares as compared to previous week's 1.93 million shares.

The top 5 scrips at the counter included OGDC, PSO, MCB, POL and PPL, which cumulatively contributed 28 percent of the total open interest.
