Eight development schemes approved
LAHORE : THE Punjab government on Wednesday approved eight development schemes at an estimated cost of Rs 8815.37 million.These schemes were approved in the 21th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of the current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
According to a spokesman for the P&D Department, P&D Provincial Secretary Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes are: Engagement of Short Term Consultant to Conduct Feasibility Study for Biomass Power Generation in the Punjab Province (PC-II) at a cost of Rs 6.30 million; Establishment of Ghazi Khan Medical College at Dera Ghazi Khan (Revised) at a cost of Rs 1443.83 million; Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of damaged buildings in Raja Bazaar, Rawalpindi, at a cost of Rs 315.02 million; Dualisation of Gujranwala-Sialkot Road, Section Gujranwala to Daska, length 21.87 km, in Gujranwala and Sialkot districts (3rd Revised) at a cost of Rs 2082.25 million; Dualisation of Gujranwala-Sialkot Road, Section Daska to Sialkot, 25.73 km, in Sialkot district (5th Revised) at a cost of Rs 3079.99 million; Dualisation of Lahore-Jaranwala-Faisalabad-Jhang-Bhakkar Road, Section Buchekee to Jaranwala, km number 81.47 to 103, length 21.53 km, Faisalabad district, (Revised) at a cost of Rs 641.72 million; Rehabilitation of Road from Lower Topa, Danna, to Gulehra Gali to Patriata Top, length 17 km, at a cost of Rs 270.91 million and Widening/Improvement of Pattoki to Kanganpur Road, length 54.10 km in Kasur district (Revised) at a cost of Rs 975.33 million. |
