DHA expedites infrastructure development

Saturday, May 10, 2014 - Karachi—Ground-breaking ceremony of fast track infrastructure development work in DHA City was performed by Lt. Gen Sajjad Ghani, Commander 5 Corps and President Executive Board DHA in a simple ceremony held at the project site. Administrator DHA, Brig Muhammad Abdullah received the Corps Commander and briefed him regarding salient features of the project.

The fast track infrastructure development work involves construction of main roads, streets, water supply, storm water drainage and sewerage lines in Sector 2, 6 and Central Business District. Central Business District will be developed according to International Standards and will cater for the business needs of local as well as international markets. Besides commercial activities, the district will also serve Cultural Activities.

The ‘Project Director’ and ‘Project Consultant’, Mr. Arif Osmani while briefing Lt. Gen Sajjad Ghani highlighted that renowned contractors including FWO and NLC have been engaged for ensuring execution of project up to the highest standard of industry and adherence to timelines. The Corps Commander appreciated DHA for executing the project with enthusiasm and professional dedication.—
