Entire country being put in trouble for sacked CJP’
LAHORE: The entire country is being put in trouble because of sacked chief justice Ifitkhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday.
Talking to a private TV channel, Shujaat he had nothing to do with the lawyers' long march scheduled for March 9, adding that he wanted to remain neutral. He also rejected the media reports that he would meet PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in London. However, he said there was no harm in visiting Nawaz’s ailing son Hussain Nawaz. He said the PPP was in power because of Nawaz Sharif. “He would have been the president of the country today had he contacted the PML-Q immediately after the February 18 polls,” Shujaat told the channel. He said an editor of a newspaper had met him for the reunification of the Muslim League but the meeting remained inconclusive. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...009_pg7_15 |
