‘Criminals are running the country’

KARACHI: The chairman of the Sindh National Front (SNF) and former caretaker Sindh chief minister, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, has said that people who had made a profession out of crime had been thrust upon the people and the decisions of the country and its fate were in their hands. Now, there was no way out but for the masses to fight for their own rights and save the country. Bhutto said at his residence Friday. There are many people, who have been behind bars for more than 20 years in criminal cases, and thus had more of a right than the present rulers. “The present rulers have proved within three months that they lack the direction to run the government. Crime, corruption, inflation have tripled during the reign of the present government. On the other hand, the lavish expenses of parliament and its ministers come after defense,” said Bhutto. staff report
