Islamabad: Number of barricades to be reduced

Islamabad Capital Territory Police have decided to reduce the number of barricades in the city to facilitate the citizens. Police sources told this agency here on Wednesday that twelve suspicious persons had been arrested since the barricades were placed on roads.According to Inspector General Islamabad Syed Kalim Imam, the police would seek cooperation of the citizens to report any suspicious elements and instructions for reducing the number of barricades in the city have been issued. “The barricades would be placed during security threats or time of need only in future,” sources quoted IG as saying.
