Each Motorway Police officer to donate Rs10,000

Every officer of the National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) will donate Rs10,000 in the Prime Minister Relief Fund for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

According to NH&MP spokesman, a meeting was held Tuesday with Inspector General (NH&MP) Dr Wasim Kausar in the chair, which decided to send the first truck of relief to Mardan tomorrow. The meeting also decided to set up medical relief camps in Mardan where free medicines would be provided to the affectees.

The meeting also decided that every officer of NH&MP will donate Rs10,000 in the Prime Minister Relief Fund that would be handed over to the prime minister.

It was also decided that NH&MP would set up relief camps outside every beat and toll plazas where relief goods would be collected from the people for the affectees. Dr Wasim Kausar said that the NH&MP would help their brothers and sisters who are in distress.
