The Leh Expressway project was inaugurated in 2007 by then president General ® Pervez Musharraf, however, after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) formed a provincial government in Punjab in 2008, the project was put on ice. Now the Punjab government has once again decided to resume the project and according to a news source, the authorities concerned have completed the survey of the area to acquire land for the project. |
