Minister dissatisfied over delay in Kurri Road project
ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (APP): Minister of State for Housing & Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim Monday expressed dissatisfaction over delay in the completion of Kurri Road housing project due to the policies of former government. The present government was committed to address public grievances and provide them relief as much as possible, he said while chairing a meeting to review progress on the Kurri Road project. The meeting was attended by Secretary Housing & Works, Managing Director National Construction Limited (NCL), Director General National Housing Authority (NHA), Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) officials and allottees. The meeting discussed hurdles in the completion of Kurri Road project. The minister underlined the importance of allottees’s cooperation to move forward and expedite the project’s completion. He assured the allottees that every step would be taken after taking them into confidence and directed to constitute a committee having representation from PHA, contractors and allottees. The committee will meet regularly to review the project’s progress. It may be mentioned that the project, which started in 2011, consists of 588 housing units of A, B and C categories for BPS-21, 21 and 20 grade federal employees |
