Rawalpindi: Rs 180m development projects approved

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Divisional Development Working Party (RDDWP) on Thursday approved Rs 180 million worth of new development projects for different areas of the division. Commissioner Zahid Saeed approved the new projects during a meeting. District Coordination Officers (DCOs) of Chakwal and Jhelum, EDO Finance and Planning Saqib Manan, Superintending Engineer (SE) Provincial Building Department Azam Anjum, SE Public Health Engineering Department Zubair Shafique, SE Provincial Highway Department Ghulam Abbas Khan, Director Development Naureen Bashir and Assistant Director Planning Saeed Hussain Niazi attended the meeting. An amount of Rs 18.8 million has been allocated for construction of a sports ground at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Choa Khalsa, Rs 1 million for construction of a boundary wall around Govt Al-Berooni College, Pind Dadan Khan, Rs 41.7 million for a library at Govt Postgraduate College, Talagang, Rs 30.5 million for a science library at Govt Postgraduate College, Ta’alian Wala, Jhelum, Rs 23.7 million for provision of water supply to Chakwal city, Rs 5.4 million for a water supply scheme for Talagang Tehsil with nine drainage schemes for Attock, Rs 5.1 million for water supply schemes for Dhoke Kala Khan, Rawalpindi, Rs 4.8 million for a water supply scheme for Mohallah Noorani, Rawalpindi, Rs 6.3 million for a water supply scheme for Morgah, Rs 5.2 million for revamping of water lines in Devol, Murree, Rs 2.8 million for water supply to Ghora Galli, Murree, Rs 3.3 million for refurbishing of water supply lines in Potha, Murree, Rs 4 million for a water supply scheme for Manga Treet, Murree, Rs 7.1 million for a water supply scheme for Numb Romal, Murree, Rs 0.3 million for a water supply scheme for Nala Musalmana, Kallar Seydan, Rs 4.2 million for water supply to Tanveen, Gujar Khan, Rs 5.5 million for a water supply scheme for Panj Giran, Gujar Khan, Rs 2.5 million for a water supply scheme for Gadu Sumu, Fateh Jang, Rs 3.6 million for water supply schemes for Taxila and Rs 4 million for provision of clean drinking water to the residents of Silyal Tehsil, Sohawa. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...009_pg11_2 |
