Islamabad: CDA officials asked to speed up work on projects
ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Khan has asked senior officials of the authority to expedite work on ongoing development projects and focus on issues of water supply, sanitation and environment. Addressing the officials at Convention Center on Thursday, the chairman directed them to accelerate pace of work on the projects and complete them timely. “The CDA will take action against those officials who fail to maintain quality of work and do not meet deadlines of the projects,” he said. Khan urged the CDA Engineering, Sanitation, Water Supply and Environment wings to address the public complaints on priority basis. He said the CDA would further upgrade the directorates to facilitate the citizens. He asked the officials to float new ideas regarding development of the city. Now Islamabad is rated among attractive cities of the world due to industrious efforts of the CDA, he said, adding, the officials should make efforts for further progress of the city, as a room for improvement existed everywhere. staff report
